Subscribers

Collect reader signups with the signup form, then search, filter, and export the list.

Your blog can show a signup form in the footer and at the end of each post. By default, signups are stored on the Subscribers page in the dashboard, which has two tabs: People and Signup form.

The signup form

The Signup form tab (owner only) toggles the form on and off and edits three fields: Heading (80 characters), Description (160 characters), and Button label (24 characters). Save changes updates the live form; a matching sites.signup_form.update tool lets a Manage key do the same.

With the default form, vibecms sends no emails: no confirmation message and no newsletter. Signups are stored as pending — a record of interest, not a verified subscription — so treat the list accordingly.

Send signups to your newsletter tool

Ask your agent to connect the tool’s HTML signup form with sites.signup_form.update. The form sends new signups directly to the tool; vibecms does not store them, and the tool handles confirmation emails.

For Buttondown, use action https://buttondown.com/api/emails/embed-subscribe/<username> and email field email. For Kit, Mailchimp, or another tool, copy the form action and email field name from its HTML embed.

For sending new posts by email, ask your agent to use the vibecms-newsletter skill for RSS-to-email setup.

The People list

Owners and editors see the People tab: every email with its status (pending, confirmed, unsubscribed) and when it signed up. A search box filters by email, and a status filter narrows the list; a header counts pending signups. Remove on a row deletes that subscriber after a confirm.

Export CSV (owner only) downloads subscribers.csv for use in your own mail tool. Since vibecms does not send email, exporting is how you act on the list today.
